Following our Customer advisory dated Friday 2/7, please be aware that the situation of the NY State DMV information not being accessible by CBP remains to date, unchanged. As a consequence, CBP is unable to stamp NY State Titles for vehicles.
As a consequence, we would like you to remind the following;
- In case of NY State title car on CBP hold it must remain on terminal (until hold is lifted)
- In case of NY State title car stamped by customs, the unit can be exported and loaded on vessel
For containers we still recommend not delivering to the terminal, until resolved, as Shipper is exposed to significant extra costs (storage, digging charges and others). Those costs are out of Grimaldi’s control.
For Roro, while the situation seems to be more under control, please be reminded that any costs related to storage or removal of the car, as a consequence of Titles not stamped, will be for shipper’s account. Those costs are out of Grimaldi’s control.
This is in effect for all US ports of load.
