Weather Alert: Weekend Snowstorm May Affect RoRo Port Operations
A major winter storm is forecasted to hit the Baltimore region this weekend, bringing heavy snow, ice, and dangerously cold temperatures starting late Saturday and continuing through Monday morning. Forecast models show 8–17 inches of snowfall in parts of the area, with the heaviest accumulation Sunday morning and the potential for icy conditions afterward. [wbaltv.com], [cbsnews.com]
Because of this, several RoRo terminals may issue temporary closures or delayed openings. At Ghanem Forwarding, we expect our Baltimore office to open Monday at 11:00 AM, depending on actual conditions.
What to Expect:
- Possible RoRo port closures due to unsafe conditions
- Delayed terminal openings depending on snow and ice
- Ghanem office opening Monday at ~11:00 AM (weather‑dependent)
- Remote staff fully available during regular hours for bookings & support
We will update customers as we receive official port notices throughout the storm.
