*Please make sure you get pre-authorization prior to delivering any Non-Running / Forklift cargo to any other US POL’s
Please take note of recently announced Lagos RORO Rate increase. Both Grimaldi ACL and Sallaum Lines have implemented this increase due to increased operating costs, fuel costs, terminal expenses and vessel related costs for both the USA and Nigeria.
Effective May 1, 2021, there will be an increase to all RORO Ocean Freight rates to Lagos, Nigeria by $110.00 for all regular size cars, trucks and vans, Categories 1, 2 and 3 from all USA Ports with both carriers – Sallaum Line & Grimaldi-ACL.
All Shipper Discounts and Contracts will still be honored, this is a general rate increase for all US Ports to Lagos.
Due to recent increased Terminal Operational costs with respect to the handling of Non-Running/Tow cargos at POL’s and POD’s, Sallaum Line has announced $50 Non-Running/Tow rate increase that will take effect on all POV deliveries on and or after Monday April 19, 2021.

Please be advised that the Freeport Terminal has reached capacity with respect to Non-Running/Forklift cargo. Effective Monday April 5th the Terminal will stop accepting all Non-Running and Forklift cargo deliveries for ALL POD’s until further notice. We hope to resume the acceptance of Non-Running and Forklift cargo within a few weeks. Please advise your drivers accordingly as the Terminal has already advised us they will not make any exceptions.
Please be advised Ghanem Office will be closing at 4pm for Good Friday this week. Please send in all Dock Receipt Requests prior to 4pm to have them booked before we close for the weekend. Happy Easter!
Due to the ongoing yard consolidations in all ports of load that are needed to address space concerns and improve efficiency it has become necessary to suspend receipt of Non-Running units to Lagos at all US terminals. Non-runners to Lagos will not be accepted for a period of 2 weeks beginning Monday
April 5 through Friday April 16. This will allow terminals to operate more efficiently and evacuate cargo quickly.
Please be advised that due to space constrains and the fact that all POL’s are at capacity with respect to Non-Running and Forklift cargo, effective Monday March 29th all Terminals will STOP accepting Lagos Non-Running and Forklift deliveries until further notice.
All Terminals will ONLY accept Non-Running and Forklift deliveries for Cotonou, Lomé and Tema bookings. We will continue to monitor the on-ground situation at each Terminals and advise when Lagos Non-Running and Forklift cargo can resume.
Please advise your drivers accordingly so that they do not face delays and get rejected at the gate. There is no room for exceptions.
Please take note of the Good Friday April 2nd Terminal Schedule and advise your drivers accordingly.
The yard consolidation is taking longer than expected. The terminal will not be able to open for receiving until Thursday, April 1.
Due to a scheduled consolidation that has become necessary because the yard is almost filled to capacity, Dundalk Terminal will be closed to receiving Monday morning, March 29. Receiving will open at 1:00 PM Monday afternoon. All truckers will be serviced on a first come first served basis.
Truckers may experience some minor disruptions and slightly longer wait times while the consolidation is taking place, and we ask for your patience. The consolidation will continue through Wednesday although terminal will operate under normal hours Tuesday and Wednesday.
We are bringing several vessels into Dundalk next to evacuate stock already on the terminal. Grimaldi and Dundalk Terminal remain committed to offering superior service to all of our clients.
One further note, because of the above noted consolidation, we will have to extend the stoppage of receiving non-runners to Thursday April 1.
